This 4-star hotel offers elegant, luxurious accommodation and excellent service in a prime location, right on Madrid’s famous Gran Via, in the heart of the city.

The superb, central location means that all of the sights and attractions of the Spanish capital are just minutes away. The Plaza Mayor, La Plaza de España, La Puerta del Sol, and all of the major shopping areas are within easy walking distance.

As well as a fantastic location, the hotel also offers stylish, luxurious accommodation and 4-star amenities, including a bar, a sauna, a gym and the spectacular rooftop pool, which is open during the summer months. The Emperador Hotel is one of the few hotels in Madrid with a pool. The pool has breathtaking views of the city’s dramatic skyline, the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral. The hotel is in an excellent area and it is a lovely looking hotel. Warning - the bar is pricey.

The room was luxurious and clean

Two things I didn't like about the hotel; first one was the room was extremely noisy being located facing the main road and the window did not block the noise.All night long all I was hearing sirens of police cars and ambulances which was nerve recking. The second thing I didn't like about the hotel was the limitation of English channels on tv; only cnn and sky News.

Nothing special about this hotel, but possibly during the summer months the roof pool facility would make this hotel attractive. ( the pool was closed during my visit) Very good location.

This hotel lacked a proper bar facility. The rooms are very noisy from both internal and external perspectives . The rooms in my opinion need upgrading. ( I changed rooms after my first night)

central location

The roof top pool, which is what attracted us to book this hotel, was exceptionally cold even though the weather was hot during our stay. Other guests also complained about this; the pool was almost always empty demonstrating that guests weren't happy. 2 other hotels on this holiday in Seville and Granada, both had unheated roof top pools but were very pleasent not iced like at Emperador.

our room wasn't ready when we arrived, they said they would tell us when it was ready and they didn't and we then had to go and collect our bags from reception ourselves. In addition, there was a problem with our room key and it seemed to take an unneccessarily long time for them to resolve it. Otherwise, the staff were extremely helpful

Loved the rooftop garden/pool area!

I think the price they charge for breakfast is exessive. 18 Euros = approx. $30. Found that not only at this hotel but at all of them.

The location is good.

The prices of food and drink within the hotel were extortionate! The view was of a grey tower block in most of the rooms within the hotel and there was a strange window in the bathroom that just opened onto a hole in the middle of a wall that was the whole lenth of the building. Very few of the staff were English speaking.
